Obsession Dancewear is a UK-based Ballroom and Latin American competition dress design company providing beautiful dancewear online and in-store to clients worldwide.
Obsession is owned and run by Ruth, a dancer for whom 2026 marks her 50th year of involvement in Dancesport; training, competing and teaching.
Obsession is a dynamic brand specialising in unique designs and rhinestone colour combinations with a high-end, opulent look. Believing that a dancer’s costume is an extension of their personality, Ruth creates designs that showcase a dancer’s attributes, taking into account their dance level and body shape, accentuating movement and elevating their performance.
Obsession Dancewear offers three ways to acquire an Obsession competition dress:
1. Choose from a catalogue of Ballroom and Latin American dresses available immediately online or in-store
2. Order a made-to-measure dress based on any Obsession design, past or present, with colour changes etc
3. Work with Ruth to design a bespoke dress
Obsession Ballroom and Latin American dresses are made using the highest quality, innovative dance fabrics. Primarily we use lycra, chiffon, crepe chiffon and pearl silk chiffon, mesh and fringing. We offer a beautiful palette of fabric and gemstone colours ranging from soft pastels to rich and romantic darker shades. We use both ombré lycra and chiffon and a range of flourescent fabrics too. We use the highest quality glass gemstones and embellishments.
At Obsession Dancewear you will find both daring and demure designs created each season to suit different ages of dancer and level of ability/experience. Our daring designs are unabashed and make sure that plenty of the dancer’s beautiful body can be seen whilst our demure designs allow the dancer to dance with confidence whilst showing a little less skin.
Obsession Ballroom and Sequence dresses accentuate a dancer’s grace and elegance whilst our Latin dresses are attention-seeking and help our dancers to showcase the character of the dance. All Obsession dresses are beautiful and eye-catching and focus on accentuating movement.
Located in the beautiful Georgian town of Oundle, Northamptonshire, Obsession Dancewear is close to the A14 (Junction 13), M11, M1 and M6. Oundle is in the centre of England, 40 miles from Cambridge and 60 miles from Stansted Airport. Transfers can be arranged from Stansted Airport on request.
